A little girl walked under a clock tower. She was on her way home, and her excitement was tremendous.
She knew that when she arrived she would find a little sister. "Or brother." She told herself quickly.
She walked as swiftly as she could, passing through the tiny streets. Her heartbeat was so fast; she thought it was going to escape her chest.
Finally she arrived home, her little feet flew over the stairs in front of her main door. She knocked loudly. "Mamma! Babbo! I'm home!!" She said excitedly. "Open the Door!! Please!" She said again, this time, taking the door handle in her hand and pushing on it.
The door flew open and she rushed in, throwing her books on the floor. "Mamma? Babbo?" She called out running up the flight of stairs to the main rooms of the house. Her dress bellowed behind her as she ran through the threshold of her parents room.
Her little feet skidded to a halt in front of her parents bed.
Her mother was lying there, motionless, no smile on her lips, and no twinkle in her eye. She just lay there, unmoving. Her face drenched in sweat, and in her arms was a child, blue and as un moving as it's mother.
The little girl stood there, terrified.
Then, she screamed.
